ABOUT FERN

Fernando “Fern” Legadoé is an accomplished storyteller, driven by a philosophy centered on capturing the essence of characters arcs and narratives through costume design and fashion styling.

Fern’s contributions to film have earned him recognition and praise from industry luminaries. His portfolio includes iconic projects such as A24’s Oscar-winning “Moonlight” and the Golden Globe- and Oscar-nominated “The Florida Project,” as well as Elegance Bratton’s poignant feature debut “The Inspection,” starring Jeremy Pope and Gabrielle Union.

Fern played a pivotal role as a Creative Producer and Costume Designer in the production of the movie “Bridges,” written and directed by Maria Corina. Currently, his costume design will next be shown in the 2024 Sundance Grand Jury award winner, “In the Summers.”

Additionally, Fern lent his unparalleled creative vision to shape the film’s narrative and aesthetic in the 2020 Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning film “Nine Days,” directed by Edson Oda, starring Winston Duke and Zazie Beetz.

Fern’s portfolio boasts an impressive array of accomplishments, including his role as the Costume Designer for acclaimed television shows such as the Peabody Award winning “David Makes Man,” “Swagger,” and “The Horror of Dolores Roach.”

Utilizing a sophisticated blend of color, pattern, and texture, Fern continues to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation. With each project, he reaffirms his commitment to excellence and his unwavering dedication to his craft, ensuring that his legacy will endure for generations to come.
